Standard Rates
$150 per 50-minute initial intake assessment
$130 per 50-minute individual psychotherapy session
Psychotherapy can be expensive, but it's an investment in your future. While duration of treatment is individual, therapy is, and should be, a time-limited experience, focused on building skills that may help you manage your life skillfully and heal from past hurts.
I offer a free 30 minute phone consultation for all new clients to determine if we are a good fit. This allows you the opportunity to ask questions about the counseling process and to get a feel for how we might work together. It's important for you to feel comfortable as you engage in this vulnerable process and I want to ensure that I can meet your needs and provide you with the kind of support you are looking for. If we decide that it is a good fit after our consultation, we can set up our first appointment, most often for the following week.
Insurance
I am credentialed with the following payor sources:
Although using insurance benefits directly might provide you with a more affordable option, there are several things to consider prior to using insurance to cover mental health services. Providers who are contracted with insurance companies are required by the terms of the contract to diagnose you with a psychiatric disorder, which often becomes a part of your permanent medical record. Providers must then document to the company that you are being given treatment that is directed at this diagnosis and course of treatment is then dictated by the managed care company, impacting your confidentiality of treatment.
Payment
Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment. You may also utilize your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA) to pay for therapy sessions. Payment is due at the time of service.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
For scheduled sessions, if you have not arrived within fifteen minutes of the scheduled appointment and there has been no ability to connect with an outreach attempt, the session will be treated as a cancellation without 24 hours notice.

Insurance
I am credentialed with the following payor sources:
- Medicaid (Colorado Access)
- Medicare Part B of Colorado (NO Medicare Advantage Plans)
- Victim Compensation (If you have been a victim of a crime, you may be eligible for this potential payor source. Please contact me for more information)
- I am an out-of-network provider for all other insurance plans. This means that my client pays the full fee directly to me, and I am happy to provide a statement so that you may apply for reimbursement, should you choose to do so. Reimbursement depends on your insurance plan and level of coverage. Although I cannot guarantee that you will receive any reimbursement, I recommend that you call and ask if your insurance will reimburse for out-of-network mental health services, and what the reimbursement rate might be.
